On the other side.

I arrived safely in Sydney the other week. Thank-you to everyone who came to the airport and same to those who wish they could've been there. You'll all never know if I cried or not. ;)

I was hoping to get Internet setup for my apartment aka flat, but I have yet to meet my two other flat mates to sort it out. The flats are pretty impressive for college "dorms." They are very nice, I hope to get some pictures up for everyone to see. [ I got the pictures up! ]

The trip itself was amazing! All the layovers went smoothly with no trouble at all. I enjoyed my day and a half in Fiji as well, went to the beach and met a very cool group of people who were also going to be in Sydney. The weather has been amazing. Today, it rained for the first time since I've been here, but only for the morning. Otherwise the sun has been out and shinning. The beaches are pretty extraordinary as well, been to a couple of those. It certainly is nice wearing shorts in January.

Jet lag hasn't been to big of a problem. I just get extremely tired around 3 PM but that phase is slowly going away. I slept in till 9 AM for the first time which was sweet, because I've been waking up at around 7:30-8:00 AM.

Hillsong Church is wow, it's hard to describe. It has seven services going on the weekend, all seat about 1500 I think, which isn't at max. Maybe more. It's massive. And that is only the City Campus, which is about half the size of the Hills Campus. The very day I got there, there was already a group that welcomed me which was great. Made it feel like home right away. I got to see Joyce Meyer live, twice. She didn't an awesome job preaching. Very cool.

Got my mobile phone, a visa, and bank account set up. I also know my address so if you'd like it, send me an e-mail and I can e-mail it back instead of posting it up on the web. Same goes with my mobile number. Anyways, if you've read this massive entry, congrats. Hahaha, anyways, time to go! I'm trying to write back to everyone, but I've only got a limited time on the computer! Adios.

Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I hope everyone is having an awesome holiday spending time with family and friends. It sure has been an exciting holiday for me.

So I finally got myself to write some more in my blog. It has been more than a month, but time is moving along at a steadily pace. In less than two weeks I'll be on a plane to Sydney, Australia. Where it will be hot, summer hot, for who knows how long. Everything is ready to go, now all I have to do is wait.

Over the past couple of weeks I've got to spend some time with most of my family and friends. I know I have to cherish each second because I don't know how long it will be when I see that person next. What a weird feeling.

Last week were the last days at my job, so now I am unemployed and enjoying it.

Today Chelsea [Ellis] and I are heading to the end of the road. Yep, you heard it. It's as far as the gravel road goes north for Yellowknife. During the winter, the road extends further because of the ice road. The frozen over lakes are paved further north to reach the smaller towns and diamond mines.

Anyways, time to get ready, next time I post, I should have some warm pictures of Sydney and Fiji. See ya.
